About Me

Hey MacSci! My name is Ahmed and I am grateful to be returning as the tutoring coordinator for the 2023-2024 school year. Coming this fall, I’m entering my final year in the honours life sciences program. I’ve really enjoyed my time at McMaster so far through the different courses and projects I’ve had the chance to work on, as well as by meeting so many amazing people! I highly recommend everyone to try and explore different clubs all over campus :) I’m most excited for playing new sports in intramurals and hanging out with some friends. You can typically find me studying (or attempting to) in Mills and Health Sci library, or as a game official for soccer and flag football intramurals!

Goals

1. Foster a tight-knit tutor community through both virtual and in-person team building
2. Continue maintaining review sessions and explore opportunities in upper year classes
3. Continue simplifying tutor-tutee logistics (tokens, forms, overall process)

Projects

1. Adding a “learning how to learn” workshop to tutor training/throughout the year
2. Improving tutor team coordination and building a community through tutor socials
3. Producing KA style videos for the YouTube channel to supplement midterm and final exam review sessions
