About Me

Hi everyone! my name is Manar Al-Wazzan and I’m a Level 4 Radiation Therapy student in the Honours Medical Radiation Sciences program at McMaster University. Over the past two years, I’ve had the opportunity to work as an MSS Tutor, supporting students across a variety of science courses. This year, I’m excited to step into the role of Tutoring Coordinator, where I’ll be overseeing the MSS Tutoring Program and working closely with our team to strengthen academic support across the Faculty of Science.

My goal is to create a supportive and efficient tutoring system that’s easy for students to access and rewarding for tutors to be part of. I’m passionate about fostering collaboration, promoting academic success, and building connections across programs.

Goals

Strengthen collaboration between the MSS Tutoring Program and other student societies to expand peer-support opportunities.

Offer a wider variety of review sessions tailored to diverse learning styles and science disciplines.

Improve accessibility by streamlining tutor matching and communication systems for faster support.

Projects

Partner with student societies to co-host interdisciplinary review and study sessions.

Develop a tutor resource hub with updated training materials and guidelines.

Implement a quicker tutor-request system to enhance accessibility for students.
