About Me

Hi everyone! My name is Salma, and I am in my third year of the Honours Life Sciences program. This is my first year as part of the MSS, and I am so excited to be joining the team as the Policy and Bylaws Officer! I am looking forward to meeting new people and getting more involved in student life. Most importantly, I am excited to be contributing to the behind-the-scenes work that keeps the MSS running smoothly. Around campus, you can most likely find me grabbing a coffee at The Grind or convincing myself that I’ll actually be productive at Thode.

Goals

1. Improve the clarity and accessibility of MSS policies and bylaws.

2. Promote EDI-specific standards by supporting inclusive and accessible practices at MSS events.

3. Support transparency and accountability within the MSS to ensure policies remain relevant and reflect the current needs of the MSS.

Projects

1. Conduct a comprehensive review of MSS policies and bylaws.

2. Develop an Inclusive Programming and Event Standards Policy to establish clear guidelines for accessibility within MSS events.

3. Revise the Scholarships Policy to ensure it reflects current student needs.
