About Me

Hi everyone! My name is Giulia, and this is my second year on the McMaster Science Society. Last year, I was part of both the Athletics and Wellness Subcommittee and the Events Subcommittee, and I’m super excited to be returning this year as one of the Events Directors! I’m really looking forward to planning events that bring science students together, foster a sense of community, and make the most of our time at McMaster. I can’t wait to collaborate with all the amazing people on MacSci and create memorable experiences for everyone. You’ll most likely spot me walking around campus, just look out for my bright, big blue backpack!

Goals

1. Creating inclusive and community oriented events that bring all science students together.

2. Strengthen collaboration within the MSS team and across other science societies to enhance event variety and impact.

3. Encourage student engagement by promoting events that highlight both academic and social aspects of the McMaster Science community.

Projects

1. Organize and host the annual Halloween-themed Scavenger Hunt to kick off the fall semester with a fun and engaging community event.

2. Plan a series of creative and relaxing de-stressor events throughout the year to support student well-being.

3. Lead the planning of SciFest, a science-themed fun day that brings students together to celebrate and showcase the spirit of the McMaster Science community.
