About Me

Hi everyone, I'm William but feel free to call me Will. I'm new to the MSS and I am most excited to learn from the exceptional MSS team and to meet more friendly faces in the faculty! I look forward to representing you and helping to voice your questions and concerns to the core executive team as well as assisting them in the execution of enriching events. Through getting to know everyone better, I hope to provide you all with better support and resources for navigating your way through the end of your undergraduate experience and transitioning into the workplace or further studies. You can probably find me on my off time at the Pulse, MDCL, and Mills Library so feel free to come say hi and introduce yourself! Promise I don’t bite, even if it looks like I just pulled an all-nighter through sustaining myself off a black coffee and pre-workout (probably just did). It’ll be a great year and I’m glad to be sharing it with you all!

Goals

1. Improving the visibility and availability of student resources and opportunities
2. Collect timely surveys of 4th year students and to act on the responses to provide a better support for prominent concerns
3. Getting more 4th years coming out to our events and to meet you all and receive inquiries/feedback in-person

Projects

1. Workshops featuring alumni/professionals in various fields of scientific backgrounds for students to connect with
2. Anonymous online inquiry/feedback forms
3. Fun de-stressor events along with my fellow year reps
