About Me

Hi! My name is Aliza, and I’m one of your first-year reps this year. It’s my first time on the MSS, and I’m super excited to be part of such a welcoming and lively community. I’m really looking forward to meeting new people, helping plan events geared towards first-years, and making sure every science student feels connected and supported throughout the year.

You’ll probably find me around campus studying with friends, locking in at Mills, or waiting in an embarrassingly long Tim's line. I can’t wait to bring your ideas to life and help make this year an amazing experience for all of us!

Goals

1. Gain a strong understanding of event planning and execution of MSS events

2. Help more students discover the MSS and its services within the community

3. Learn how different branches of the MSS work together and actively support other members

Projects

1. Develop a guidance initiative that collects and shares personalized advice from current students for high schoolers interested in joining McMaster

2. Create an interview series that amplifies diverse voices across campus, to give MSS members and students a platform

3. Launch a campus food project that highlights meal options near McMaster, with student reviews through social media posts
