About Me

Hi there :) My name is Sehaj Kang and I am currently in my second year in the Biochemistry Program. I am so excited to be part of the MSS team as the Careers Coordinator! This is a new position that the MSS launched this year and so it is my first time being on the MSS! I am looking forward to hosting many new events for you in collaboration with the SCCE office to further support your future career journey! Outside of school, I really enjoy reading books - anything from fantasy, romance, action, and adventure - so if you have any recommendations for what I should pick up next I'm all ears! Binging Netflix shows and watching rom-com movies while baking is my version of a day well spent! If you ever see me around, feel free to come up and say hi :)

Goals

1. Bridging the gap between the SCCE and the MSS by maintaining active channels of communications and collaborating on events!
2.
Networking with other offices at McMaster to look for new opportunities of involvement to further support the science student body in their future endeavours!
3.
Finding, sharing, and compiling resources for career support!

Projects

1. Running a Career Workshop Series about building great resumes, getting involved in research & co-op, and understanding post-grad horizons in the field of science.
2.
Hosting a Career Preparation Day to support students through the hiring process by offering resume editing, mock interviews, and an opportunity to take LinkedIn Headshots.
3.
Re-vamping the science lounge to create a Career Display Board for students to share their future career aspirations, find resources for career support, and leave their mark when their journey at McMaster comes to an end!
